Nature Connection Activities, Games, and Philosophies for Educators, Parents, and Grandparents!

ONSITE | Three Sessions: Sundays, June 4, 11 & 18, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Come gather wisdom in a woodland setting for fun and effective activities, games, and facilitation skills that are proven tools for teaching about nature connection and ecology. You will learn playful and experiential ways to connect individuals and groups of all ages with native plants, animals and ecosystems. Explore techniques for making these experiences meaningful and memorable.

 

You'll leave with:

  • A fantastic variety of engaging nature connection games and activities for all ages.
  • Powerful facilitation tools and practices for a diversity of audiences, situations and environments.
  • A sense of wonder and connection with the natural world.

This class is being offered at a special educator rate.

 

Please Note: Through our programs, we extend an open invitation to grow in mind and grow in your understanding of our place in the Southern Appalachians. We also work to keep our course registration fees economical. Revenue received from registration goes toward expanding learning opportunities and stewardship through the Arboretum’s educational mission.

Luke Cannon is an avid naturalist and long time pursuer and teacher of our astounding natural world. His passion for exploring the ecological intricacies of our living planet have inspired his studies of plants, mammals, birds, insects, lichens, fungi and more. Luke offers regular classes and walks in Western North Carolina to share his knowledge of the local ecology and his enthusiasm for building closer relationships with the wilds around us.
